Thanks to an onslaught of California DOJ Rules and Regulations, proposed fines and non-stop anti-gun legislation, it has become unreasonably difficult and no longer sustainable to continue as a home-based FFL.
The California legislature continues to pass gun laws affecting FFL’s that become more and more complicated and intrusive, treating gun owners, sellers and manufacturers as if we are the cause of crime involving firearms in the state and the country. Since starting this FFL business in 2012, not once has any firearm or customer we have processed through our FFL been involved with or charged with any crime or misdeed, allegation of wrongdoing, to our knowledge, or been the subject of any search/record request by law enforcement.
As much as we enjoyed making firearms available to our customers and making the purchase and registration process painfree and easy, and meeting many fine and responsible gun owners, sportsmen and women, and making many new friends, we are closing our FFL services in California permanently.
